Seton's Description: Art 2 for Young Catholics. In this "How to do Art" book by Seton Press, learning to draw is made easy using a step-by-step format. Since each of the 49 lessons use a holy or biblical reference to introduce a simple drawing technique, the lesson serves as a catechetical instruction as well. Children learn to draw everything from clouds, trees, and fire, to insects, animals, and people. This is the main text for the grade 2 Art course in the Seton Home Study School curriculum program. Customer Reviews
I really like how the book is set up, April 21, 2005 Reviewer: Irene O'Brien, Academic Counselor, Seton Home Study School
Building on the articles of the Creed, this Catechism covers the Creation of angels, man, the fall, original sin and the promise of a Redeemer. The commandments are studied and the sacraments, with a focus on Confession and the Eucharist. I really like how the book is set up: each page covers a particular topic and has a few questions at the end for review, at the end of the week there is another review set up like the Baltimore Catechism. As a teacher, it was easy to follow and have the children know what to do.
